Amcor's Spearwood Mill

David had responsibility for turning around the profit performance of a long-term loss making operation, as part of a global manufacturing company. This was achieved by:

  • revising the business strategy;
  • optimising manufacturing, energy, raw material and labour efficiencies;
  • penetrating new markets;
  • developing new products;
  • leading the change process, and enhancing safety and environmental performance.

He has played a pioneering role in the regional implementation of cleaner production techniques in Amcor, an international corporation with sales exceeding $4.5B.
