- Responsible to Managing Director, Mr. Vince Smith for various projects including detailed design of a Machining Centre Pallet Changer, improvement of Welding Procedure records, various tenders, and management of a Trailer Tipping Platform from design to delivery.
- A major responsibility from December 1996 to May 1998 was the management of the Vicgrain Shiploader project for TEC. This involved oversight of the design process done by SEMF Consultants, extensive liaison with Hill's Project Services regarding workshop detail drawings, estimating, budgeting and financial control, in-house quality assurance, and procurement of all structural materials and mechanical components for the Shiploader.
- From November 1997 to May 1998, I managed the site construction aspects of this project, through to final proof load commissioning at Vicgrain's new Woodchip & Grain Handling Facility at Geelong North, Victoria.
Delta Hydraulics, Devonport

- Responsible to Managing Director, Mr. John White for procurement of pressed and plasma cut components for Samsung Hydraulic Cylinder project.

- Design office management ; Site supervision of installation and commissioning of hydraulic cylinders, power pack and pipe work for the ANL loading facility at Bell Bay ; Testing and proving load rating of Planmarine lift-mover hydraulic cylinders ; Site supervision of installation and commissioning of hydraulic and pneumatic pipe work, No.2 paper machine rebuild, ANM Boyer.

- Reporting to the Planning and Development Engineer, Mr Tim Mace, responsible for various projects including an Asbestos Removal Programme, replacement of FRP vessels, installation of an HDPE Raw Water Main, Protective Coating of complex areas of plant steelwork and other minor works.
- Duties included estimating, preparation of capital expenditure proposals, purchase enquiries, tender assessment, overseeing contractors, and ensuring projects meet overall budgeted for expenditure.
- August 1987 - May 1990, Heybridge
- Reporting to the Senior Project Engineer, Mr. Barry Tyer, responsible for detailed mechanical engineering design and innovation of new improved process plant and equipment manufacture. Duties included estimating, preparation of capital expenditure proposals, purchase enquiries, assessing quotations and tenders, overseeing and liaising with draftspersons, other engineers and contractors, providing maintenance documentation following project installation.

- Reporting to the Engineering Manager, Mr Paul Morrison, responsible for various aspects of Furnace 5 Conversion Project. Duties included detailed mechanical engineering design, supervision of drafting, calling for and assessing tenders, site supervision of contractors and commissioning equipment.

- Reporting to the Senior Pulp Mill Engineer, Mr. Doug Forest, responsible for various upgrade projects in the pulp mill area. Duties included conceptual design, calculation and sketching, supervision of drafting work, estimating, calling for and assessing tenders, supervision of site installation.
- January - August 1987, Wesley Vale
- Contracted through Skilled Engineering, reporting to the Senior Paper Mill Engineer, Mr. Doug Janney.
- Duties included preparation and assessment of tender documents, installation and commissioning of design modification to paper making and finishing machinery, liaising with other engineers, draftspersons and tradespeople.
- September 1984 - June 1986, Burnie
- Contracted through Skilled Engineering, reporting to the Senior Pulp Mill Engineer, Mr. John Taylor. Duties included preventative maintenance and shutdown planning, coordinating with other engineers and tradespeople, minor design modifications to plant and equipment, liaising with draftspersons and technical staff, preparation and assessment of tender documents, project work and trouble shooting of newly commissioned plant.

- Casual work in the Civil Engineering Laboratories. Duties included concrete batch mixing and tests to Australian Standards, cured concrete cylinder load testing and recording.

- Leader of a team of two technical officers and another engineer. Responsible for optimisation of the operation of the Stokes Hill Power Station to ensure the lowest overall cost of generation. Duties included design and implementation of routine tests for data collection and calculations, monitoring of power station plant condition, compilation and presentation of trends on various aspects of plant performance and condition, computer studies of growth trends in electricity consumption to enable predictions and budgeting for future years.
